George’s Story
George was born in Bulgaria and moved to the United States at an early age. He grew up in New Orleans and Pennsylvania, and later went to Cornell University for undergrad. He has lived in Seattle since 2008 and loves the beauty that is the northwest. In his spare time he likes tinkering with computers, playing the guitar, exploring the outdoors by biking and hiking, traveling the world, and wasting spending time playing video games. He has also become the resident bread-maker.
Avani’s Story
Avani was born in Georgia, where she lived most of her life. She went to undergrad at Vanderbilt University, and she went back to Georgia to attend law school at the University of Georgia. She moved to Seattle in 2015. She loves Seattle and is looking forward to having her friends and family visit this summer to enjoy PNW at its finest. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, Pelotoning, and baking desserts. She loves being with someone who is more than happy to taste test all of her creations!
An Aveorge Story
(pronounced “average”)
They met in 2018, hitting it off immediately. They bonded over their love of Dr. Mario, cooking and a budding addiction hobby collecting vinyl. What also brought them together is their dog, Dolly. She started off as George’s dog but quickly accepted Avani into her life by hiding Avani’s slippers in her bed. Dolly has accomplished the seemingly impossible feat of turning Avani into a dog lover. Their life together involves a lot of culinary adventures: learning to make croissants, perfecting 3 (3!) different styles of pizza, and of course experimenting with exciting cocktails. They enjoy traveling together and look forward to the next adventure.
